Tap and hold anywhere on the map for half a second. A blue ring will appear while you hold — when it fills, a pin drops.
Wind data is fetched live from the GFS forecast model. It can take a few seconds on first load. If it doesn't appear, tap the menu (☰) → Live winds → "Refresh winds now".
This means the great circle at your selected flight level is already the quickest path with the current winds. No detour or altitude change would save time.
Both nautical miles (nm) and kilometres (km) are shown.
Yes — tap and hold close to the existing line and the new pin will be inserted between the two nearest waypoints. Useful for routing around airspace.
